
Comprendre la liste des allergènes
La transparence est au cœur de ma démarche chez Olea Terra. Vous remarquerez peut-être des noms à consonance complexe (comme Limonene, Linalool ou Citral) associés à mes fragrances et huiles essentielles.
Voici ce qu’il faut savoir :
- Des composants de parfumerie : Ces molécules (comme le Limonene ou le Linalool) sont les « briques » qui composent les odeurs. Elles se trouvent naturellement dans les plantes, mais sont aussi utilisées dans la création de fragrances de haute qualité pour assurer la stabilité et la richesse du parfum.
Les allergènes ne sont pas des ingrédients ajoutés manuellement. Ce sont des composants naturels qui sont déjà présents à l’intérieur des huiles essentielles ou des fragrances de haute qualité. Même dans un fruit frais, ces molécules existent. S’il fallait mettre une étiquette INCI sur une simple orange bio, on devrait obligatoirement écrire : Limonene, Citral, Linalool. - Transparence totale : Qu’elles proviennent directement d’une plante ou qu’elles soient recréées en laboratoire pour offrir des parfums originaux, la loi exige de les lister pour la sécurité des personnes ayant des sensibilités spécifiques. Si vous ne les voyez pas sur d’autres produits du commerce, c’est souvent qu’ils sont cachés sous le simple mot « parfum ».
Pour le corps (et pour la loi), le Limonene synthétique d’une fragrance et le Limonene naturel d’une orange sont identiques. Ils présentent le même risque allergique pour une personne sensible, d’où l’obligation de les lister de la même façon. - Sécurité et dosage : Ces composants sont présents en quantités infimes (souvent moins de 0,1% du savon). Ils sont strictement contrôlés et respectent les normes internationales de sécurité en parfumerie (IFRA).

Les fragrances créées en laboratoire utilisent les deux : des molécules naturelles (extraites de plantes) et des molécules synthétiques.
En fait, la majorité des fragrances de synthèse combinent ces deux mondes pour obtenir une odeur stable, sécuritaire et reproductible. Voici comment cela se divise pour les allergènes :
1. Les molécules « Identiques au Naturel »
Beaucoup de molécules que vous voyez sur vos fiches (comme le Linalool, le Limonene ou le Citral) existent à l’état naturel dans les huiles essentielles. Cependant, en laboratoire, on les fabrique souvent de façon synthétique.
- Le résultat : La molécule est chimiquement identique, qu’elle vienne d’un citron ou d’une éprouvette. Le corps (et la peau) ne fait aucune différence, c’est pourquoi elles sont listées de la même manière comme allergènes.
2. Les molécules Purement Synthétiques
Certaines molécules n’existent pas du tout dans la nature. Elles ont été créées par l’homme pour offrir des odeurs inédites ou pour remplacer des ingrédients naturels trop chers, rares ou instables.
- Exemples dans vos listes : L’Iso E Super, la Galaxolide (musc synthétique) ou le Lyral.
- Même si elles sont synthétiques, elles peuvent quand même être des allergènes. Le Lyral, par exemple, est une molécule 100 % synthétique qui est devenue l’un des allergènes les plus surveillés (interdite maintenant) car elle ne provient d’aucune plante mais causait des réactions chez certaines personnes.
3. Pourquoi ce mélange ?
- La puissance et la tenue : Les molécules synthétiques permettent souvent au parfum de tenir beaucoup plus longtemps sur la peau que les huiles essentielles pures.
- La sécurité : En laboratoire, on peut isoler une molécule pour qu’elle soit « pure », alors qu’une huile essentielle naturelle contient des centaines de composants différents, ce qui rend parfois le risque allergique plus difficile à contrôler.
En résumé : Que l’allergène soit extrait d’une fleur ou fabriqué en labo, s’il fait partie de la liste des allergènes réglementés (comme vos 26 allergènes INCI), il doit être déclaré.
